Marianne Downs Behle
After studying at the School of the Museum of Fine Art in Boston, Ms. Behle was employed by the J.T.O’Duggan Studio, a venerable back bay stained glass studio in the Murray family for generations. She completed a traditional, 4-year apprenticeship in fabrication, glass painting and design. In 1978, a move to the Rambusch Decoration Company’s glass studio broadened her experience into large scale production, design collaboration and restoration. As a partner of the Down-Behle Studio since 1983, Ms. Behle has handled the original design work, cartooning, glass painting, and fabrication on many commissions for churches, public buildings, commercial spaces and residences in over 13 states.

Mark Louis Behle
Mr. Behle was employed by the Rambusch Decorating Company of New York City in 1975 as
a stained glass fabricator and installer. Upon forming Architectural Glass Design with a colleague in the early 1980’s, they fabricated and installed stained glass windows for independent artists and designers; including artists Lowell Nesbitt and Judith Wadia. In partnership with Marianne Downs, the Downs-Behle Studio was created and he has continued as the principal engineer, fabricator and installer for the company, as well as continuing to fabricate for other designers and stained glass companies.
